Privacy Policy

Parfia is a UK perfume discovery app. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains, in plain English, what we do hold and why.
What we collect
- A device identifier. When you first open the app we generate a random identifier on your phone. It lets your wishlist, alerts and preferences work without an account. It is not your name, email, or Apple ID, and we cannot link it to you.
- Your wishlist, alerts and note preferences. Stored against that identifier so they sync and so price alerts can be sent.
- Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to sign in, Apple gives us an anonymous account identifier so your wishlist can follow you to a new phone. We do not receive your password, and we do not require your email address.
- Subscription status. If you subscribe to Parfia Plus, Apple processes the payment and our subscription partner (RevenueCat) tells us only whether your subscription is active. We never see card details.
- Outbound shop clicks. When you tap a Buy button we record that an offer was clicked, so we can be paid a commission by the retailer. This is how Parfia is funded.
- A push notification token, only if you turn alerts on.
What we never collect
- Your location never leaves your phone. The store finder uses your rough position (or a postcode you type) solely to open Apple Maps on your device. We do not receive or store it.
- No advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers, no analytics profiles, no selling of data. (Our website uses Vercel’s cookie-free, anonymous page-view counter; it cannot identify you.)
- No contacts, photos, microphone, or anything else the app doesn’t obviously need.
Who we share data with
Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Expo (push delivery) and RevenueCat (subscriptions). Retailers you click through to receive only a standard affiliate referral — never your identity from us.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete Account removes everything we hold about you from our servers immediately and clears the app. No email required, no retention period, no fuss.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Because we hold so little, the fastest route is usually the in-app delete button.
